Catwalk Fashions

Here's a summary of the hot looks for catwalk fashions:-

Urban City Look - very relaxed and casual,  Shades of grey, white and cream.  Baggy with soft taupy colours in sand, dusky pink and charcoal grey.

Big Pockets - the Artist look is really popular, with smocks with pockets in many of the fashion stores already

Wedge Sandals are set to be big again

Dresses are looking short, with minidresses making a real comeback.  If you've got great legs, this could be the season for you.

There a bit of an '80's look to these dresses in terms of bright colours and the fitted nature of the dresses.

Colours - there was lots of bright yellow dresses on the catwalk this season - noteably Valentino.

Black and white - there are some softly shaped dresses in black and white that look stunning.  The simple shape, fabric and pattern of the Chanel dresses is stunning in it's simplicity.

Metallics - if you've got silver, gold or shiny tops or dresses in your wardrobe, this is the season to get them out and enjoy wearing them.  The Burberry Prorsum and Zac Posen shows looked fantastic.  Accessorise with gold metallic shoes, if you don't feel up to wearing the whole look.

Florals - small print florals will look good on the larger sizes, mix in yellow flowers to go with the hot colour for this season.  Check out the Salvatore Ferragamo show for a real stunner of a dress.

Detail & embroidery - there's some beautiful designs in embroidered and collage looks.  These are quite stunning and singular designs, which have a real '70's look about them.  The most noticeable designer creating this look is Chloe.  There's also a bit of an ethnic look to some fabrics with some interesting and exciting print fabrics.

Swimwear - beauty 50's inspired boy cut and one piece swimsuits are flattering and not so revealing.

Accessories - skip the accessorising with jewellery this season - but grab your favourite big bag and enjoy getting noticed!
